With the loss of the station and format that started many of us on this path of great new wave and 80s music of the 92.7 frequency on our FM dial, many of us have had to come to terms with the power of satellite radio and the narrow focus that terrestial radio stations continue to hold in an effort to create greater profitability in a dying market segment.
With over 25 hours of WLIR/WDRE recordings logged and digitized, I am enjoying the process of hearing the scoped and unscoped tracks, band station intros, and local commercial jingles which ran during the 80s and 90s on the 92.7 radio dial!
